PPTP Setup Instruction MacOS X El Capitan

Advanced functionality and quick setup are available in the application.

Some users may need to setup a pptp VPN connection on their Mac. For our service this is not a problem since we support this technology. The setup is very simple and does not require the download of additional applications

Before the start of connection setup, read the information about your connection. Go to the "Server Locations" page, and copy the Hostname of the server you need.

To setup the pptp VPN connection on your Mac, please follow the instructions below.

1. Please open "System Settings"

2. Go to "Network"

3. At the bottom left click "+"

4. The window for creating a new connection will appear.

Select "Interface" - VPN.

"VPN type" is PPTP.

Enter optional "Service name" , for example netmap_su.

Click the "Create" button

5. The new connection settings are active.

In the field "Server address" - enter IP, you can get it in your profile.

In the field "Profile name" - enter your login, you get it after the tariff purchase.

"Encoding" select - Maximum (only 128 bits)

Click "Authentication settings ..."

6. The "User Authentication" window opens. Check the "Password" and enter your password, which you get after thetariffpurchase . Click "OK"

7. Go to advanced settings by clicking the "Advanced ..." button

8. In the "Options" tab, check the box "Send all traffic via VPN" and click "OK"

9. The setup is finished, press "Apply" button to save the settings

10. Warning that the connection may be non-secure will appear, click "Save Configuration"

11. Next, close all windows, and connect to the VPN.

12. Wait until the connection is complete.
